Ms.Kang Xingyuan's research presentation at 2023 Eleventh International Symposium on Computing and Networking(CANDAR)

Ms.Kang Xingyuan(Mya), a first-year doctoral student at SDLab presented the follwing paper at the 2023 Eleventh International Symposium on Computing and Networking(CANDAR)

Kang Xingyuan, Keichi Takahashi, Chawanat Nakasan, Kohei Ichikawa, Hajimu Iida, “Multi-Objective Optimization of Controller Placement in Distributed ONOS Networks”, 2023 Eleventh International Symposium on Computing and Networking(CANDAR), 28th November - 1st December 2023.

This paper focuses on the optimal placement of network controllers in SDN, which enables programmable network operations through software. Managing a network with multiple distributed controllers presents a complex deployment problem, due to latency from individual switches and the data synchronization between controllers. Therefore, we have formulated this problem as a multi-objective optimization problem and propose a method to optimize the deployment of controllers and data synchronization nodes.
