K. Xingyuan, K. Takahashi, C. Nakasan, K. Ichikawa and H. Iida, “Multi-Objective Optimization of Controller Placement in Distributed ONOS Networks,” 2023 Eleventh International Symposium on Computing and Networking (CANDAR), Matsue, Japan, 2023, pp. 76-85, doi: 10.1109/CANDAR60563.2023.00017.

This paper focuses on the optimal placement of network controllers in SDN, which enables programmable network operations through software. Managing a network with multiple distributed controllers presents a complex deployment problem, due to latency from individual switches and the data synchronization between controllers. Therefore, we have formulated this problem as a multi-objective optimization problem and propose a method to optimize the deployment of controllers and data synchronization nodes.
