Purit Phanudom and Akihito Ihara gave their presentaion at SES2021 Workshop #4.

Two of our SD Lab students gave their presentation at 2021 Software Engineering Symposium workshop. Purit Phanudom introduced his research titled “Interactive Chatbot for Supporting Students in Online Python Programming Class” that proposes the utilization of chatbot technology to effectly support learners taking online Python programming classes. Akihito Ihara also delivered his presentation on the “Prospect of Class Diagram Relationship Prediction Using Natural Language Processing Technique” that pictures the current approaches for quantitative measurement of class diagram’s understandability and future challenges.

Keichi Takahashi's invited talk at the University of Melbourne QMNET

Keichi Takahashi, an assistant professor at SDLab, gave an invited talk at the University of Melbourne Quantitative Methods Network (QMNET). His talk presented the latest research on accelerating Empirical Dynamic Modeling, an international collaboration project with institutes including the Salk institute and National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. In this work, we developed and evaluated a performance-portable implementation of Empirical Dynamic Modeling (EDM) named kEDM using the Kokkos programming framework.
