内容梗概 (abstract) Multipath TCP (MPTCP) is an extension to TCP that creates and manages multiple TCP connections so that multiple paths can be used for a single application connection. However, this is ineffective when used with common routing mechanisms which are based on spanning trees because only one path is available between any pair of hosts. We created an OpenFlow controller, smoc, that uses topology information of a network to spread the TCP connections over multiple paths. smoc automatically identifies new MPTCP connections and route them through multiple paths in the network based on a list of simple paths. Evaluation indicated that smoc performed better than simple spanning tree on PRAGMA-ENT, especially with large number of subflows and longer experiment time.
